I'm trying to figure out where the name "Culey" came from. I didn't have much luck with Google. Anyone familiar with this name?

  1. Culley with 2 "ls " is found in England around Norfolk , Berkshire and parts of the Midlands . The Scottish version is Collie  or Coullie  from Aberdeenshire .

  2. Irish or Scottish

  3. It is a place name in England, though it is probably Norman (French) since there is no record of it before 1066 (the Norman invasion).

  4. It seems Western European.  It could be a shortened version of Sculley which means kitchen in Scottish.
