County Health Care Service and Insurance?

If I went to the STD clinic in my county and paid the $20 to get tested, would my insurance be used or contacted in any manner? I am a teenager that lives at home and would like to get tested without my parents knowing, if at all possible.

Unless you hand them your insurance card, they won't have any way of knowing who your insurance is with.

If you didn't give the clinic your insurance info, they wouldn't know to bill them. This is YOUR private health info-they are not allowed by law to disclose it to anyone else without your written permission.

They will have to get the results to you somehow though-either by phone call or written report.
