County communities outside of melbourne???!!!?

Question

hey. im looking for a little country town close, but not too close to melbourne, australia, to live in. i want to be close to my parents, but i hate the city.

any ideas? for ppl in melbourne.. i was thinking Bright or Harrietville, because their close to the snow and snowboarding is my life, but their a lil far away

BRIGHT! GEEZ HOW FAR AWAY DO U WANT TO BE AWAY FROM MELB THATS AGES! ( I THINK) oops i didnt mean to put that in caps lock i left it on! ok well wat about latrobe valley/gippsland (same thing, two names, i dont know why) anyway its 2 hours away from the city and 1-2 hours away from mt baw baw where u can snowboard, good luck cya
