  1. 1. My daughter loved to live in my ribs, very uncomfortable for me!, It was like an ache, put some pressure on it and release, its temporary relief.  Dont worry.. it will get worse as you get bigger lol..

    2. I keep 'wanting' to pack but never did until the night before lol.

3.. I did pack makeup, but my contractions were killer and I could have cared less about makeup than, but jus in case you can bring some.  I only brought comfy clothes, no jeans. Extra maxi pads, bar of soap, and my travel size shampoo/conditiner.  MY toothbrush!!!, think of stuff you would bring on your vacation, just stuff like that.  Flips flops are good too.

    4. Strong menustral cramps.

    5. They broke my water at the hospital after being in labor for 24 hours.

    6. I cant remember exactly, but I think they broke it around 4am, and I had her around 9am.

    7. Well her daddy was there, and few friends came that nite, than the next day I had other vistors.  I really didn't have a lot, my family lived so far away at the time.

    8. Gosh, I cant remember.. but I think the next day.

    9. Yes, they took her picture, but I didn't purchase any from them.  I took pictures, and got professional ones done at 6 months.

    10. Just daddy, the nurses were a lot of helped, he's not good in those situations lol

11.Daddy stayed the first night only.  He annoyed me more than anything :)

    12. They WANT the baby to stay with you at the hospital I was at, BUT i did have the option of sending her to the Nursery between 11 pm- 6am.. or A nurse could sit with her while I showered if I needed that.  I had her stay with me at all times, I couldn't get enough of her lol, plus I BFed so it was easier.

    13. Yes you bleed alot, I hate wearing Maxi pads I always used tampons but since you cant, I changed my pad often.

    14. Yes it does go off and on..  I stopped before my 6 weeks checkup.  It was pretty lite after week 4.

    15. I have a 9month old baby GIRL! :)

  2. 1. Probably your baby kicking you or pushing under your ribs. Can also be just everything shifting around to make room for your baby.

    2. I packed for the hospital at 34 weeks, as I was at risk for early pre-term labour.

    3. Bring maxi pads, the ones they give you in the hospital are HUGE! And flip flops.

    4. Contractions are when your belly gets all hard and crampy. It can feel like a very very bad period cramp or gas pain.

    5. My water was broken at the hospital to try to progress my labor.

    6. My baby was delivered by emergency c-section 24 hours later.

    7. Visitors came a few hours later to see me and the baby, but only close family and friends.

    8. I showered the next day.

    9. I took some baby photos of my own at the hospital and then had professional pics done about 2 weeks later.

    10. My husband.

    11. My husband.

    12. Yes, she did. It was fantastic.

    13. I bled like crazy. Needed maxi pads... but it tapered off in a couple of days and it was just a light flow. This can vary from person to person.

    14. I bled for more than 6 weeks. It was probably due to me over-exerting myself.

  3. I can only answer to 12, since I don't remember your other questions...  1.  Not sure about what you are feeling, maybe the baby getting ready to drop down..  2.  I packed for the hospital the day my water broke.  3.  Food - something small to snack on.  4.  Contractions for me were like strong cramps.  5.  My water broke on it's own.  I was sitting at the computer and it just happened.  6.  About 15 hours later.  7.  The next day, because my son was born at 2:10 am and I didn't get back to my room until after 5 a.m.  8.  A few days.  9.  I got pictures taken at the hospital when he was 2 days old. 10.  My sister was my support.  11.  My sister was there with me all the time except when I went into surgery (emergency c-section).  12.  I think he stayed with me the first night, and in the nursery the rest of the time.  Take advantage of it while you can!!

  4. Congratulations!

I had that left side pain, too!  I thought it was odd, but my doctor said that it was just from the pressure.  I guess there's something there that's sensitive.  But you should ask your doctor to check anyway.

Contractions are basically when your body decides it's time for the baby to be born.  All of your abdominal muscles spasm, and slowly move the baby towards the birth canal.  That's the purpose of them, to move the baby into position to be born.

The doctor at the hospital had to break my water.  I gave birth a couple hours afterwards.

I gave birth in the middle of the night, so I didn't have to worry about any unwelcome visitors lol.

My mother, best friend, and the father were there for the birth.

  5. wow - what a question.  Each birth is different so telling you all the gory details is kinda pointless.

    However, here goes

Qu1 - you're carrying a baby everything is going to hurt from time to time.

Qu2 -Pack your hospital bag now - you'll feel better knowing you are prepared.

Qu3 -must bring - panandol, cellphone, earplugs, maxi pads and hypercal gel (contains calandula flower extract, it's for putting onto stitches if you have an episiotomy.  You can buy from chemists and health shops - this stuff is amazing)

Q4 Contractions are different for everybody - and different depending on weather they are contractions for opening the cervix or contractions for pushing (the pushing ones are really cool!)

Q5 First one broke at supermarket, 2nd one when i was pushing.

    Q6 1st one 24 hours later, 2nd one about 24 mins later

Q7 not into the birthing room - let them in later that day.

Q8 ??Not sure what you mean - just had a quick one.

    Q9 Had our own camera

Q10 My husband and my midwife

    Q11 No

    Q12 Yes

Q13 yes you bleed, yes you need big pads - sometimes two.  Lochia will continue (like a period) for up to 4 weeks.

i can't see the rest of the qu's but your body was designed to give birth - it will know what to do so just listen to it.  If you need help with the pain then ask for something - but don't be in too much of a hurry for an epidural as you can't feel what your body is doing and the signals it's sending you.

All the best and remember that the labour is only one day out of a lifetime!
