  1. I am Chinese, and I have a male friend in China whose father works for the U.N. His family lived in the middle east for a few years, and he told me that the Arabs were slightly more tolerant towards non-Arab females. (His mother stayed indoors most of the time.)

If you are Arab yourself, wear whatever the other women and girls are wearing. If you are not Arab, maybe you can turn the covering-up down a notch.

However, please be sure on the dress code before you go. It's not only a question of accustomization, but also safety. I don't mean to scare you, but an Arab woman who was in a car with exposed arms got stoned to death a few years ago.

    Good luck!!

  2. It was 44oC degrees in Saudi Arabia today. have fun.

  3. You would be better off posting this in the Saudi Arabia section.  There are people there who live in KSA, and they will be able to tell you what the laws are.

Though if it makes you feel better, I know a face covering is not mandatory there.  Though you may have to cover your hair.  It's not as bad as you think ... they have light fabrics that don't get too warm.
