Ok, so the other day I went to GNC to purchase Rhodiola Rosea after reading up about it. After purchasing it, I noticed that it did not say Siberian/Russian anywhere. Does anyone know if this brand is infact one of those? Also, i noticed that everyone elses brand has salidrosides in it also (i forget the %'s) and mine doesn't have that either. Are any of these factors going to affect anything?

  1. Rhodiola Rosea is Rhodiola Rosea, no matter what part of the world it comes from. The only herb I'm aware of that makes enough of a difference to say "Siberian" on the label is Siberian Ginseng... but that's because it's an entirely different species than Ginseng so it makes a big difference.

In any case, Rhodiola from any country will be good for overall stress. The % you're referring to would only be listed on the label information if it were a standardized extract. If the bottle you got doesn't list a percentage, it's probably just the pure herb, not an extract (which extracts are higher potencies). If yours is the pure herb, it might not be as potent or effective, but it will still help with stress overall.
