Couples only vacation in October?

Hi, I'd like to surprise my bf with a sweet vacation for his b-day in October for a week. (Could reduce it to 5-6 days to fit in our budget) Should be warm and by the ocean. Basically to relax and spend quality time together. Like Cancun, Carribbean or anywhere really - but instead of big hotels I really like to stay somewhere cute, small, something romantic, only adults would be nice. I have max. 1500-2000 to spend with everything together - pref. all inclusive or at least one main meal included. If you Guys have ideas, I'd really appreciate it!

You didn't even mention where you are at so I'll give you two places: one east and one west.

If you're out east, try Madeira Beach Fla, at St. Petersburg. White sugar-sand beaches and water you can actually swim in!

If you're out west try Santa Cruz, Ca, about 90 miles south of San Francisco. Beautiful town, great beach and boardwalk on Monterey bay and REDWOOD trees.  Unfortunately, the water is too cold unless you wear a wetsuit.
