Courier service in canberra?

Hi, ned some advise from the locals in Canberra. I'm starting a courier business and was wondering what the need was like for this type of cost efficient, friendly service in the area. I know there are already courier companies in the area and I want to offer something more personalised to the client. I recently was in Canberra visiting friends when the needed a delivery on a Saturday morning and they where charged $150.00 as they needed the item and had no other way of getting it to their home. So if you can help any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too sure about the need for weekend deliveries but our business uses couriers quite often. the company we use is very unreliable but they are cheap. They only do 2 pick ups a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The mornings pickup is supposed to be delivered that day and the afternoons pickup delivered the next morning. Rarely happens. We use then because their prices are good, however if you were to start a courier company that did regular pick-ups at a reasonable rate i'm sure people would use you. One thing to keep an eye on is that as soon as your business grows a little and you gain more customers, the 'personalised' aspect to your business will fade as you will have less time.
