Course review of Royal Park Golf & Country Club – Part 2
Hole - 4
This is the first par-3 hole of the course. The 208-yard long setup is a mere test of accuracy. Trees on the left side are a major source of wind, which will come into play. Meanwhile, the green is protected on three sides, which means accuracy has to be
incorporated, while taking a shot.
Hole - 5
This is the first par-5 hole of the course and it lies at 609 yards, the longest hole on the course. The fairway is clear from hazards, but the length is the biggest opponent here. Use a driver on the tee and keep the ball in the centre. Use a hybrid on
the fairway and there is a possibility that a small number of the field birdies the hole, by targeting the centre of the green.
Hole - 6
Lying at 157 yards, this par-3 is the treacherous of all adversaries. There are several teeing spots and none of them are easier to figure out. There is a creek running in the centre of the area, while the green is two-tiered.
There are five bunkers on the right side and one huge hazard on the left which makes it difficult for the player to even save par. The ideal strategy to hole this beauty is by attacking the far left side of the green, as it would help in carding a birdie.
Hole - 7
This hole is a par-4, which stretches on 379 yards. The straight-up requires an upfront approach towards the green, but be careful, as there is a bunker sitting in the centre of the fairway. If the tee shot lands in it, then the player will have to bid farewell
to par.
The green is flat in the centre and narrow on all the sides. Aim the second shot towards the centre of the green, but be careful as there is a bunker sitting on the landing area for the second shot.
Hole - 8
This hole is a par-5, which stretches on 547 yards. The fairway is narrow and has numerous trees and bunkers on the sides. Meanwhile, the green is bunkered on all the four sides. Wind is the biggest opponent here, therefore keep a good number of clubs in
the bag in case things get messy.
Hole - 9
This par-4 lies at 379 yards. The fairway is open and clear of hazards, but has a huge lake on the left side, which not only provides view to the spectators, but also adds to the difficulty. The green is long and has a bunker on the left, which means accuracy
is the necessity at this setup.
