  1. I do not know about RI, but in NC he doesn't have to be there.  You just get your divorce.

  2. The judge will review your complaint and rule in your favor.

  3. He will get a slap on the hand and another chance to appear. He will have to miss the court date a couple of times before they will actually do anything.

The courts are a joke when it comes to this.

  4. i don't know the laws for that state but they may postpone and put out a summons for him and if he doesn't show after that they may put out a bench warrant but again depending on the state they could postpone a certain number of time and then finalize it without him.

  5. Nothing happens except you get your divorce.  That is all.

  6. I believe then it would become a no fault divorce . Meaning that you will get the divorce and he is unable to contest it .

Either way , you win !

  7. you will be divorced.  they may compel him to appear.

  8. Not 100% sure.  But it would look good for you!

  9. i dont know about RI, but in detroit mi my husband's ex-wife did not show up for her court day a total of 5 times and  the only thing she was entitle to was child support for the daughter that they share. she was not entitle to any alimony, pension, or social security. i did not know this until after i married my husband and now i know why the ***** hates me so much. right now iam entitled to everything she screwed up on. just make sure you show up to all of the court days and do everything you are told to do.

  10. You will be granted a divorce and probably win every thing that you have asked for such as furniture, car everything by default that is allowable by law.
