Question:

Cousin's Wedding Present?

by  |  earlier

A little background info first... My cousin moved away (far enough so that I would have to get on a plane to get to her) like 9 years ago. We've been keeping in touch with each other via e-mail.

Anyway, she told me that she's having her wedding something at the end of Sept. I can't go due to a lot of complications... But my dad's going. So I want to get her something nice and elegant, but sturdy enough that it won't get destroyed on the way there. Any ideas?

P.S: Is it a faux pas if I write something like "I love you" on the wedding card...?

Thanks

  1. check out the wedding registry

    give cash

    or get something from thingsremembered.com

and writing "I love you" is not faux pas - say waht you mean

  2. Find out what is on her wedding registry and order something off of that.  If the registry has online ordering, you can get it shipped directly to her place without worrying about your Dad transporting it.  If you are close to your cousin, saying "I love you" isn't faux pas.  Remember to congratulate the couple, not just your cousin.

  3. Why don't you get the couple an experience they can do together - Like hot air ballooning, or a helicopter ride?

If you buy them a voucher for an experience it's easy to cart around and you don't have to worry about breakables or heavy lifting.

We have this site in Australia. I'm sure you'd have something similiar where you're from.

    www.redballoondays.com.au

    Hope this helps :-D

  4. its not a faux pas to say that. stuck up people think so.well if you send the gift UPS they will reimburse you if its broken... so go to  mikasa or even target.i dont know her personality to tell you what to get.so whatever catches your eyes get it
