  1. my sister did her room in a 60s disco theme as a teen complete with black light posters, psychedelic colors and a disco ball. No drug oriented stuff.  It was a fun room. As an adult her bedroom has a "paris" theme. She has black and white photos of the eifel tower and other famous european sites.

the room is very comfortable and very pretty. I did my room in a Hollywood theme and made it look like a green room(hollywood dressing room) I had movie set type props, celebrity photos etc.  my desk looked like a make-up vanity from theater.

Your cousin should focus her room on her personal interests. when you are surrounded by what you love you are confortable.

  2. A cool theme that she wont grow out of and is easy to change is like, "Beach hut hotel in Thailand" - do the walls a color that reminds you of the ocean or the sky, white linens, a ton of plants. You can add stripes in the bedding and window coverings if you want. It will feel like she's on a sunny, exotic vacation all the time!

  3. I just did my daughters room in a Hawaiian Surf theme and she is 16. Looks great and didn't costmuchh at all. Got party favors from the $1 Tree and party store to hang on the wall, painted one wall an accent color and got really cool lamps from Craigs LIst. Pictures from a surf magazine and some cheap frames, a few stickers and it looks really cool

  4. you can go to ikea.com then go to your country and then look at all of the rooms you can normally always get an idea off of looking at rooms. If that's not in your price range target and walmart are always really great. Oh and look at closeout stores like Big Lots there is always great stuff there. I'm not even kidding I knew I would like anything there but when I went in it was awesome they have lamps and beds chairs and frames and rugs. It's very kool! Well good luck let me know! =]

  5. you could try purple paris chic

you  could paint only one wall a royal purple.

and have a mannequin on the side of the bed.

there is lots of very modern, cheap furniture at ikea.

    www.ikea.com

you could have a purple comforter and

have your pillows be white and silver.

or, you could have a white, silver, or cream comforter and your pillows could be purple.

she could have a cute black or white desk with a purple lamp or something,

and she could hang black and white photos of the eiffel tower, and other sites.

    bean bag?

    or modern chair?

    whatever you like :)

    just ideas :)

  6. try the beach theme. Get some wallpaper of the sun sand and beach and they also sell like window stickers that looks like your looking out of a beach house.

how about like a paint your own room theme thing? this is my room. haha. i painted my room all white and i splattered multicolored paint all over the walls and ceiling. and i also made hand prints all over. it was pretty cool and nice to hang out it.

or you can do what they do in laser tag or laser quest places. get red green blue etc paint and splatter it over a black wall, then out a black light along the corners of the ceiling and then watch it glow. itll be awsome for parties and stuff.

  7. I wouldn't do a 'theme' if I were her.  I would paint the room a bright color (light, bright blue or green or orange or something cool).  Get the bedding first, and then pick other colors.  Pick a stripped/polkadotted comforter, and match the rest of the room with it.  This is the easiest way to redecorate a room.
