Question:

Cover up front steps?

My husband and I have tried everything to remove the paint on our front steps that are concrete. Nothing has fully worked!!! This might sound a bit strange but is there something that can j be applied, glued... to the concrete that will cover it up and actually stay on? Some sort of veneer or anything else. It really looks absolutely awful. No comments on how to remove the paint (stripper, power wash...) we've done it all.

  1. I don't know if this fits with your plan, but could you apply a surface coat of stucco or mortar over the existing painted surface?

  2. If you like the look you could use outdoor grass like carpet and use a concrete cement to glue it on.

  3. You could consider using a non slip frost proof tile, or consider having some thin stone facings cut to size and bond to the concrete using high performance adhesive. Good Luck
