  1. Coverage is based on what will attract a crowd so that the captive audience can be sold more stuff. Considering that the key demographic to sell stuff to consists of females 18-35 years of age, it means the Edwards story trumps the potential of all-out war between Russia and Georgia. The same rule is followed on the entertainment schedule. Watch "prime time" from 7 PM to 10 PM and you can count on the fingers of one hand the number of commercials geared towards male consumers. And the content of many of the shows is not geared towards male viewership either.

It's the chief reason I use English language short wave radio as a key source for news. That's supplemented by reading about one dozen English language daily newspapers' web editions from various countries and continents.

In this age I can now listen to many of my favorite short wave outlets via web streaming. Right now it's Australia I'm listening to as I type this.

  2. Both... and the MSM did just that. How else could you explain that you even knew it occurred?

  3. The MSM dropped the ball and let a tabloid break the story.  They are now trying to make up for by beating the story to death.  Their other problem is that they don't have very many  reporters in the region where the fighting is taking place so there aren't many stories  being released..

  4. Thank you! I've been thinking that all day. I'm trying to find out what's going on between Georgia and Russia and all I keep seeing is mindless garbage about John Edwards. That's not even news!  From the mouths of Jags fans comes the truth. By the way, I got you guys going to the AFC Championship Game, don't let me down.

  5. I agree with you. The media really dropped the ball here and is showing their ignorance. The media thinks that the American people are stupid, that we can only digest such news about affairs and cant grasp or understand important issues such as what is going on in between Russia and Georgia thus they feed us what they think is best for us.

    They are ignorant

I sent off several emails to CNN and the rest-i know it will do no good but maybe if enough people do the same they will listen.
