here is what i have wrote

Dear Ms. Burch

I recently noticed the vacancy for assistant dog groomer on the job centre plus website and decided to apply right away as I would love the chance to work within this role. This would be my dream job as I love dogs, I myself own 3 dogs, a Doberman who is almost 9 a Shar Pei who is 4 and a puppy Jack russell terrier who is almost 7 months old I have had my 3 dogs since they were 8 weeks old and have trained them all myself. I have had dogs ever since i can remember and have always been brought up around them. I have no official training of dog grooming, but I am the person in my household who grooms all 3 of my dogs, Shampooing, Blow drying, Nail cutting, and also ear and eye cleaning etc. I also have a qulification of Hairdressing so I know how to use a pair of scissors, I know it is totally different cutting a dog to a human but i feel my experience of cutting hair would be an advantage to help within this role. I would really love the oppertunity to learn more about dog grooming and to be able to work within your business.

Please find enclosed a copy of my C.V

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application, I look forward to hearing from you

Yours sincerely,

have i started it and ended it correctly?

  1. sounds good , but is it a joke? you have posted it in the jokes and riddles section. Is it a serious letter?

if its a joke I don't get it

  2. why did you pt it in the joke section?

    although ur letter is ok

  3. Strange category to put this one in but yes the letter reads fine and i agree with your thinking about the need for a covering letter.

    Good luck

If you really want to impress your prospective new employer you could always hand deliver your letter and meet the lady.

  4. your spelling is c**p and you should never start a letter with DEAR.

you start a letter with SIR even if it is a woman you might be communicating with and end Yours Faithfully

  5. Should end letter: Yours faithfully not sincerely.

    Otherwise it appears OK.
