  1. Absolutely.  It may not affect your charges, like the State being able to charge you with an enhanced charge, such as Habitual Offender, but the Prosecutor will take it into consideration when he makes his recommendation or offers you a plea bargain and the Judge will take it into consideration when sentencing you.

  2. Yes, the previous conviction will affect your sentencing.

  3. Unless it's the same type of crime, it likely won't come up in court. If it is, you'll get a harsher sentence than someone with a clean record and I would suggest that you not do whatever it is a third time or you might find yourself in a long term relationship with someone big and hairy.

  4. probably. Especially if it for the same type crime.

  5. Yes, they will see that you're a repeat offender. Depending on the type of charge, you can take certain actions to lighten the sentence they give you - like entering rehab, therapy, etc.

  6. Yes, you are considered a repeat offender. If you get convicted a third time then you have the 3 strikes rule and they throw the book at you. This stuff follows you for life. It does not go away after a few years.
