  1. yes it is

  2. I used to love it and eat it all the time, and I'm still alive. I stopped though when I found out I was eating a cow tongue.

  3. It has a lot of fat. Its healthy in moderation but too much is no good because its high in fat. It has the nutrition of salmon. High protein high fat.

  4. It is considered to be an "organ meat" which is also higher in cholesterol. (But, hey, so is liver.)

Yes, when it is prepared correctly it is very tender and tasty.

It is also expensive. The last one I bought at a supermarket cost about $14.00.

But I don't eat it very often.

Try it, you might like it, too.

  5. EWWWW!!!! i didn't know people ate cow tongue! haha and i live on a cow farm so i should have known that

  6. i dunno.

    its delicioso thou!

  7. Yes, it's very healthy.  Practically no fat, lots of protein.  Sliced thin, with some mustard or horseradish sauce, it makes a great sandwich.

  8. No its not. You shouldnt be eating animals organs. You should only eat their flesh. Cows tongue is an organ.

  9. very high in protein and low in fats so yes

  10. no..   too high in fatty proteins.. (all organ meat is too fatty)  high in fats in general and very little vitamins and minerals.   some iron and some vitamin b 12.   but that's it.

it's good for weight gain...   nothing much else to be honest.

it's a course meat...     steer heart is a nicer meat but still very fatty.

i used to eat the junk, never understood what the fanfare was.     liked heart better.. but that was even a tiresome dish.

and no,  salmon is not a good comparison to cow's tongue.. salmon has more vitamins and minerals and omega 3 oils.. a healthier more leaner fatty protein.
