Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Rob Ryan vows to improve defence’s performance – NFL News
Dallas Cowboys have badly hurt their chances to enter the playoffs after losing their last two games. Two weeks ago, they were leading the National Football Conference East division (7-4), but now they are tied for the first spot
with New York Giants (7-6).
During the last week loss against the Giants, Cowboys failed to defend a lead of 12 points in the final quarter and gave the game away. Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan acknowledged on Thursday that the defence failed in
the last two games, but vowed to improve the performance. He believes in his abilities more than anyone else and said that he will fix the problem.
"Confidence is something I have and it comes from having better knowledge than anybody else," he said. “I'm the champ and I always know I'm the best. I do. Now maybe nobody else in the media believes it but I know the guys in the
locker room do and I do, so whatever it is, hey, I'm the man who is in charge. I'm the man who will fix our problem."
Cowboys are going to take on Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. They will play two more games in the regular after this week. In week 16, they will face Philadelphia Eagles whereas in the final week of the season, they will once
again take on the Giants.
Cowboys’ recent slump brought Coach Jason Garrett in the line of fire from different observes, but recently the franchise’s Owner/General Manager Jerry Jones stepped forward and extended his full support to the coach.
Not just the owner, the players also think that Garrett is the right coach for the Cowboys. The most recent player to voice his support for the coach is linebacker DeMarcus Ware.
Ware believes that Garrett is the best head coach in the league and said that he is perfect for the Cowboys.
"The guys feel even more strongly about him now because he's sticking with us and we're sticking with him. We're still motivating each other to get out there and play our hearts out.”
The linebacker also said that the players did not need to bring any significant change in their game-play. However, he pointed at some of the ‘small mistakes’ and said that overcoming them could bring better result for the Cowboys.
