Cowboys practise hard to welcome Dolphins for the week 12 encounter – NFL News
Miami Dolphins have found winning ways after a poor start to the season when they were handed seven straight defeats, but their three-game winning streak will definitely be challenged on Thursday at the Cowboys Stadium in the week 12 encounter of the National Football League as they travel to the home of Dallas Cowboys, who are training hard on long and robust practice sessions.
Cowboys are also on a three-game winning streak and are not going to settle for anything less than a win, especially after the last week’s overtime triumph against Washington Redskins 27-24.
Cowboys’ coach Jason Garrett does not want the players to become lethargic, and kept them on their toes. He himself spent around 20 hours on preparation for the game against Dolphins and conducting long meetings with other coaches and staff to devise a strategy for the match.
"I have been a part of this game a lot in a few different capacities, so the biggest thing we try to do is get to the preparation for the next game quickly," Garrett said. "You want to make sure you get your work done but you have to be mindful that you just played a game and you are about to play a game. So you have to understand the balance there for the getting the players ready and right. We hope we are able to do that."
Cowboys have won six of their 10 games this season. With an average of 398.8 yards (277.0 passing yards and 121.8 rushing yards) per game, they are leading the National Football Conference East division and want to ensure their entry to the playoffs by winning the next few games.
On the other hand, Dolphins’ records are stained because of the seven straight defeats at the start of the season. They hold an average of 312.8 yards (200.5 passing yards and 112.3 rushing yards) per game and are placed at the bottom of the American Football Conference East division.
However, to consider Dolphins an underdog, and ignore their comeback with the recent winning streak of three games will be as silly as a goose. And people at the Cowboys’ camp know this fact pretty well!
