I was think about cows, randomely, and on farms you only ever have like 2-3 bulls, surely there are more bulls born than this, so what happens to all the other bulls. And i swear i've seen them black on whit cows with no udders!

  1. Most bulls, become steers, then meat. It has to be an exceptional animal or the owner must be in need of a new bull, for it to get to stay a bull and pass along its genetic information to future generations. Cows have a little better odds because they can produce calves, and on dairy farms milk. A cattle breeder doesn't really even need a bull these days with artificial insemination so widely available. A sad fact in the world of raising animals is, that if you're born male, you will probably get eaten.

Your black and white cows are called Jersey's, that is a breed of dairy cattle, like all breeds of cattle there are male and female of each breed born. So the ones you see without utters are either bulls or steers. Being dairy cattle, Jersey's aren't as good for meat production, like breeds such as Angus for example, so it will take longer to feed out a steer for market. The color of an animal has nothing to do with its s*x, the cows and bulls of each breed look basically the same except for the underside. Hope this helps.

  2. they become steaks.

  3. Castrated,fattened,slaughtered then eaten

  4. Most likely, the bulls are sold while they're still young.  As was pointed out in the first answer, there normally aren't too many bulls kept for a herd of cows.  I have NO clue what the last part of your question is about.  Only cows have udders (the bovine version of b*****s) and I certainly don't think anyone performs udder removals.

  5. normally there are but the farmer only needs two or so strong males to reproduce with the females for strong cattle, the rest he will sell for money, they are worth quite alot on the meat market.

as for the udders im not sure, i think only female have them

  6. Where do you think veal comes from?

  7. The male calves get neutered when they are young.   This helps them put on more meat faster, so they can go to market sooner.

I think that most farms only keep a couple of bulls for breeding.  Too many would cause trouble if they start fighting.

  8. I live on a ranch. When male cattle are born, they are "cut". They are called "steers" are that point and cannot reproduce.

Only a couple of bulls are placed with the female cattle for reproduction purposes.

Bulls are generally turned into hamburger after their purpose has been served.

Hope I simplified it enough. There is more to it, but that's the general idea.
