Cox on demand is not working?

anyone know what I could do? It's on channel 1 - says press select, when I do - it just sort of refreshes the screen. Before I turned off the tv, it was going back to the previous channel. It was working fine before. :( I wanted to rent a movie! I don't have any error message though.

Disconnect the power cable from the box then reboot.

The main page comes up and I push select but the menu for movies, freezone and such never comes up and I have waited forever just in case it was slow.  What do I need to do to see the selection on thel left hand side of the screen>
