Has anyone been here? Will we see some cool fish and stuff? Is it a good safe place for my 10yr old daughters first snorkling experience??

Thanks in advance,

Alan

  1. yes good luck!!

  2. I went a few years ago and the spot was beautiful! The fish were amazing and the fact that it is on the side where the wind barely hits it is perfect because there are almost no waves at all. This was where my first snorkeling experience was and I loved it! I am sure that if you daughters are good swimmers and comfortable in the water that they will be fine! Good luck and have fun!

  3. we took our daughter's there when they were 3 and 5 and the 5 year old snorkeld there. The 3 year old did the dolphin swim. It's a nice place with facilities for your to use during the day. It was a bout 10 cab ride from the port. It's a little expensive but has all that you need for a day excursion.

  4. I was there in 2003, before the hurricane hit. My favorite part of Chankanaab Park is swimming with the dolphins. As for the water, it is very clear and warm. Very Safe. There are some cool fish, but by far not the best in the Caribbean. Belize is much more fun!!!

  5. I have been there twice and there were people of all ages snorkeling. I would recommend taking the Fury Catamaran trip because it is a lot of fun and when you are done snorkeling they take you to their private beach for lunch.

We saw lots of fish and even a sea turtle.
