Cozumel Mexico Cruise?

Hi all,

My family and I are planning a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico in late May and we are fisrt time cruisers. We aren't sure what to look forward to in Cozumel like where to go? How to go? Should we go to the ruins and where or what are the names of the places we should go to see the ruins? Should we take a taxi or go with a group? What fun in Cozumel that will fit into the cruise's schedule (7 hours). Thank you for your time and effort. Best of lucks to you all.

ohhhhhhh..you will love cozumel!!!  we just got back from our cruise there and had a great time.  we rented a jeep( the rentals are right on the pier when you exit the ship) and went to the beach...it was beautiful!!  there are lots of choices for you. if i were you i would study up on the things to do using the internet and decide what fits your budget and desires best.  when we go back next year we are going to take the ferry across to playa del carmen.  there are ruins there to explore that everyone said were wonderful.  if you like to shop there is plenty of that also.  the venders are a bit annoying though.  have a great time.  by the way, we didn't do any of the outings that the cruise line offered.  we wanted get away and relax.  and we did and saved some money in the process.

We just recently took a cruise and went to Cozumel as well as two other stops.  We took a taxi to one of the beaches with a resort and just chilled on the beach.  It was very relaxing.  Cozumel was the last of the three ports and we were very tired.  this really hit the spot.
