Cozumel for a month.?

Question

I am going to cozumel for a month in July...I am wondering

a) what to do for a whole month?

b)what to bring?

c)do the mexicans harass blondes still?

d)good cheap resturants....

e)how much is a bottle of water in pesos?

thanks...anything else recomended is great too.

The water in Coz is supposedly drinkable.

a) Scuba Diving:  Absolutely amazing.  You can get certified there if you aren't already and there are several dive sites so you won't get board.

     You can take the Ferry over to Playa Del Carmen for a change and go scuba diving in the Cenotes on the mainland.  Experience of a lifetime.

     Zip Line tours mainland when you take the Ferry over.  

     Take a jeep around the island of Cozumel.  There are restaurants over there that are great and that side is really untouched so it's a totally different experience than the main town of San Miguel.

     Go to the Mayan Ruins on Cozumel

     Go horseback riding on Cozumel

     Do the Jeep tour through the jungle on Cozumel.

b)  Sunblock, Bugspray (you will need this) bathing suits, cover ups, shorts, hats and sunglasses...and your camera.  You can go shopping at the Cheudrai which is in town on the main road and everything there is really cheap since it is basically the grocery/mass store on the island.

c)  The mexicans on Cozumel are so nice and the island is really safe.  The only "bothersome" behaviour I experience there is when they try to get you into their stores....when you don't go in sometimes they get very pushy and say nasty things.  If you speak some spanish....it'll be fine.  

d)  Go to the local restaurants for a really good inexpensive meal.  Stay away from the tourist traps like Senior Frogs or Hard Rock Cafe.  There are tons of really great places.  Check out www.travelnotes.cc and go to the Cozumel Chatters for several lists of restaurants.

e)  Depends where you buy it.  Not expensive at all.

Enjoy....there is so much to do there that the time will pass really quickly.

a) Get certified for scuba diving. That's basically the main reason to go there. It's my favorite place to go diving and I've been all around the world.

b) Light clothes. Bathing suits. Sunscreen (it's ridiculously expensive there).

c) No, but people will try to get you to buy a timeshare. Don't.

d) Señor Frog’s.

e) No idea.
