i was there a few weeks ago on the carnival inspiration as well.  All we did was walk around and shop.  Great deals on lots of stuff.  But there are beautiful beaches, but the day we were there was raining so we didn't go.  You could go snorkeling, and there are other expeditions.

My husband and i just snorkeled, shopped and went to the east side and spent much time shell hunting on a private strip of beach. There are also blow holes in the rock that sprays water on you. That was lots of fun. Punta Sur looked interesting to us but we didn't have time to go.
