Cpu question? what would you do?

on a socket 370 that is about 6 yrs old would you keep the intel p3 that came with computer, or would you replace it with a new intel celeron? both are only 1ghz. whats the difference between them? the celeron says its a tualantin type, the p3 that came with com. runs fine but how long can it last? what would you do.?

  1. I would keep the Pentium. Celerons are just cut down versions of the Pentium, so they are slower per clock cycle. A new celeron is probably not going to fit in the 370 socket anyway, and P4 is slower than P3 (surprisingly) per clock cycle. P4 can go to higher clock speeds though.
