Crab fishing?

what type of license do you need for crab fishing with the crabhawk? just a regular crab license or do i need a fishing license too?

Most states do not require you to have a license when fishing from a shore bound area in a saltwater scenario. Since the crab hawk is not a commercial type trapping device, it's more than likely that you need a license for it.  Just to play it safe though, check your local fisheries ( just type "your state" fish and game) or ask a local bait shop and such. There may be a law against using traps and limits to how many blue crabs you are allowed to take and from where.~good luck catchin'.

Depends on what state you are in.  In Texas a fishing license is required for crabbing. Most people don't know that, though.
