Hi, my little lad caught some crabs from the sea, what can i feed them?

They like bacon as a treat, but you can get Mackeral etc. from Tescos for 35p each...bit more like home for them!

As much as I love kids take them back...tell the you are doing whats right, and they will learn a valuable lesson...you cant have everything cos it's there

To keep them succesfully, you'd need an amazing amount of filteration and also salt water.

Take them back and buy some freshwater crabs from the pet store like Ranibows, They eat left over foods such as peas.

they will die if you keep them too long without refreshing the salt water.

Nothing, because they'll be dead soon. They can't live in freshwater, and they can't live out of water for too long. Take them back.

There scavengers, they eat any dead meat from the seabed.

We used to bait them with fish bones.

Shrimp. Crabs also like fish. You might try canned tuna, too.
