Have an old Ford Flathead that has a nasty split actually in one of the combustion chambers. It runs all the way down to the bottom of the cylinder wall andis about 1/8 to 1/16 th in width. Is sleeving an option for this block? One "shadetree" mechanic said that the sleeve would not hold due to the crack running all the way through to the bottom, it would flare out. Its starts about halfway down the wall then runs all the way to the bottom. I really had a hard time finding this block and hate to have to locate another. Any old hot rodders have any tips or suggestions?
