Cracker Barrel Restaurant?

Do you like this place? Are they pricey? And what do you like to order when going here?

They are okay but considering it's "family style" dining I think it's a touch over priced.  I usually have the chicken fried steak and mashed tators.

It is a great restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm and the food is great.They have great customer service.

They can be a little pricey but the food is amazing. I suggest going for breakfast because I like it better than lunch (thought both menus are delectable).

I love this restaurant! For the high quality of food, service and atmosphere, I do not think they are pricey at all. I usually order something from the breakfast menu. Their hashbrown casserole can't be beat!

They have down home country cooking and the food is great.  They are priced in the mid range.  You can get a dinner for under $10, sandwiches are priced for $6-$8.

For example, the green beans are cooked with onion and ham, just the way Grandma would have cooked them.  They have different things like chicken 'n dumplings on the menu.  You can get home made soup or a hamburger, too.

My favorite dinner item is Chicken Fried Chicken.  I get mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, pinto beans, and corn muffins.  The roast beef dinner is good, too.  Slow roasted and very tender and full of flavor.  The desserts are yummy and not expensive.

It is also fun to shop in their Country Store before or after you eat.  You should definately give them a try!

They serve breakfast all day, which is convenient for travellers (or students!), and I think they have fair prices, especially considering you can eat all the biscuits you want (try the applebutter on them).  If you do get breakfast, I highly recommend the hashbrown casserole.  They have every size meal, from a moderate snack or diet meal to a total pig-out sized meal.  

I always get breakfast when I go here, no matter what time of day it is.  They use real maple syrup & they serve blueberry syrup with their blueberry pancakes.  They also have really yummy whole-wheat sourdough toast.

I like them anytime and they are just about the same as other places. They have daily and seasonal specials too.



Breakfast-I usually order Uncle Hershel's with catfish or hamburger steak or chicken breast or sugar or salt cured ham, 2 pouched eggs, hash brown casserole, grits and rye toast with apple butter.

Lunch-I like stew or chicken and dumplings and grilled Colby cheese sandwich with bacon and tomato.

Dinner-I love salmon patties, steak fries or baked potatoes, carrots. Or one of their 4 veggie in a plate with biscuits and corn bread muffins.

Hot apple cider or lemonade or hot tea.

Love the store and the fireplace and the music is great too.

They are a little pricey,but the food is awesome.  The chicken fried steak is delicious.I mean it is a really nice restaurant and they have really cute stuff at the gift shop.   It really is worh the price to go there.  Hope you enjoy it.....now you got me hungry for Cracker Barrel/.....lol
