Crackerjack King could go on for Prix du Jockey Club – Horse Racing Update
One of the most celebrated race-horses of the industry today, Crackerjack King is in form to contend the French Derby that is scheduled to take place at Chantilly on June 5.
He is very well known as the unbeaten Italian Derby winner and is flaunted throughout the country for his racing credentials.
This announcement was made by the spokesman of the owner of the champion race-horse, Scuderia Effevi. Talking to the correspondents while attending a formal dinner at the Capannelle race-course, the spokesman stated that the chances are bright that the colt
will be aiming for the Prix du Jockey Club.
It has been revealed that the race-horse has managed to run over a distance that is half a furlong shorter than what the distance is for the Italian Derby. The distance over which the race-horses run in the Italian Derby is one mile and three furlongs. According
to his trainer Stefano Botti, it will not be a problem for Crackerjack King to run over the distance that has been set for the French Classic event.
When the trainer of the Derby winner was approached by the correspondents to comment on the development of the race-horse for the upcoming event, he was reported as saying that the race-horse possesses a very fast pace and that was showcased by him in the
Italian Derby event. Botti also commented that when the race-horse decides to run faster, his performance becomes even more spectacular.
Crackerjack King is the son of the champion race-horse Shamardal, which is the winner of the 2005 edition of the Prix du Jockey Club. The race-horse has so far won all four meetings that he started including the Derby Italiano. It can be said that he is
following the racing successes of his half brothers Awelmarduk and Jakkalberry. The former is the champion of the 2007 edition of the Derby Italiano, meanwhile the latter is the winner of the last year’s edition of Group 1 event. Crackerjack King’s fans and
connections have high hopes from him in the French Classic meeting.
