  1. You may need to take your receiver to a electronics repair shop and have it bench tested. The center channel output may have had the incorrect ohm load on it at some point, and damaged the rectifier(s). If there was a short in the speaker wire, or if the center channel was left disconnected, this could cause this kind of damage. Also, playing it too loud with the incorrect ohm load can damage it, too. Some receivers have a switch on the back to select between 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers. Hope this helps!

  2. adjust the base on the reciever . small system, should be able to find more receptive cente speaker  just reduce amount of base prob gone .

  3. There is a short in a connection....try unwiring that one and re inserting the wires in the speaker....

  4. Check all your connections to make sure everything is plugged in properly.

Unplug the reserver and plug it back in after about 10 seconds.

If neither of those work, you might have a bad speaker.

  5. Check to see that everything is grounded properly

you may be getting a static build up/
