Craft fair ideas? Knitted or crochet..?

Question

What are some good small items to sell at a craft fair for knit or crochet. I would like to make smaller items because I can make more of them , I have already made some scarves and some mug cozies. This will be in Wisconsin right before the winter, what would you make or buy?

In Texas people love to show off what college they went to --

U of Texas, Texas A & M,  Baylor, -- they'll buy anything like that.  If it's like that in Wisconsin then make scarfs, mug cozies and yes, even dog sweaters -- they get cold too especially in Wisconsin -- with Wisconsin school colors and names on them. I know you want to make small things but I bet throws to wrap in while watching TV (in school colors) would sell real well -- they would here.

Mittens, socks, baby hats, dog sweaters (okay, so I wouldn't buy a dog sweater, but I see a lot of puppies wearing them outdoors in the winter) maybe small purses with some sort of cloth liner inside...

* potholders and pan mats

* dish cloths

* draft dodger things to go under doors and windows

* quick simple slippers

* hand towel toppers with loop and button

* mug rugs

* place mats

* pencil toppers

This might sound crazy, but bookmarks is a good winter time item to sell. after all, winter is a perfect time to read.

There are patterns for slippers, gloves, mittens, hats, tea cozies.

also consider baby items; i.e. sweaters, booties, bonnets, etc...

winter time is also a great time for ornaments, stockings, and other small decorations.

Do a search under "Free Patterns" also lion brand website has free patterns available.
