I teach children between the ages of 12-18 months and we're looking for something free, hopefully printable since we're running out of time...for our children to give to their parents for Valentine's Day next week! My co-teacher wanted to buy small 3" board books, but we can't find any for a reasonable price, so we thought we'd make one. I thought we could just get online and print one out. Just wondering if anyone has any great ideas. We'd like it to be small so it will fit down inside one of those cellophane treat bags along w/ a banana, small bag of cheerios, and a small box of raisins. Thanks for any ideas!

  1. a finger painting is always nice and wouldn't require a lot of skill.  You could help with getting the paint on and off of their fingers!

Make sure you put the date on the back for the parents...

  2. http://www.amazingmoms.com/htm/kidsart.h...

There are usually some good ideas here.

  3. http://familyfun.go.com/

Try this site. Has some good ideas and Valentine's day printables. Hope this helps.

    This site is good too.

  4. Use paint to make a hand or footprint with a sweet poem...something about being tiny and small for a short time. The poem could be above or below the foot/hand print.

Try this: (changing hand to foot or vice versa)

    Sometimes you get discouraged,

    Because I am so small.

    I'm always leaving finger prints

    on furniture and walls.

    But every day,

    I'm getting big,

And soon I'll be so tall,

    And all my little fingers,

Will be so hard to recall.

    So here's a little handprint,

    You'll remember with a smile,

    On Valentine's day, 2007,

When I was just a child.

  5. Well my daycare ask me to give in a family picture or u can take a picture of each child. Put it in a heart.

They sometimes use finger paint on there hands so there parents can have memorys of how small there hands were Valentine 07

I would prefer something like that then a book that i would only use for a few readings then my child doesnt want it anymore.
