  1. make rocket ships out of toilet paper tubes and egg cartons.   Just glue a egg carton cup onto a toilet paper tube.  Decorate with glitter, paint and construction paper.

  2. You can do and song and dance routine to "Bend and Stretch" from Romper Room. The song has to do with reaching for the stars. I hope that I helped you out.

  3. Night Sky Art

Use a white crayon to draw stars onto a white piece of paper.  Be sure to press down hard with the crayon as you draw.  Give each child one of the papers and set out paintbrushes and diluted black or dark blue paint.  Paint over the entire paper to make the stars appear on the page.

  4. Have the party outside at a park that has a big toy and possibly one of those spring rockets. Kids can pretend big toy is a space station. You can even serve Tang at the party. For games you can pretend the space station is in need of repairs and you need to organize a scavenger hunt to help find items for repair (at least one adult per search party). Use items that are already available: tools to make repairs (plastic forks and spoons), repair the hole (with sticks and leaves), assign someone to be a mechanic and find him/her (mechanic can be identified with a "tool belt" and "tool box"), etc.. For arts and crafts make "moon rocks" and "meteors" with rocks they find and a little paint. Some one can hide them when they're done and find them in their scavenger hunt (sort of an Easter egg hunt). If the park has a sandbox, they can build a "moon-base" with craters and stuff. Then you can play a game where you protect the moon-base from alien invaders. Kids are the guardians of base and adults are the invaders and the game plays a little like "capture the flag" and "freeze tag." When game is over, play again but, switch roles.

    I hope this helps.

  6. Get Styrofoam balls and have them paint and decorate them to design their own planets. These can be hung from the ceiling after they are dry. Let them pretend they are astronauts and have them walk like they are in zero gravity during the whole party.

  7. have them draw their own rocket ships and have them make their own planets!

  8. Legos, best educational toy on the market. Has several themes that are space related.
