Craig Kieswetter and Jade Dernbach earn increment contracts for England – Cricket News Update
England has given an increment contract to the wicketkeeper batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/C-Kieswetter-c1206, and the right-arm speedster, Jade Dernbach.
Both the players have been performing exceptionally well for their national cricket team at the shorter version of the game, which compelled the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to offer them increments.
The Chief selector, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Geoffrey-Miller-c58870, also admired the performances of the pacer, Dernbach, and the right-hand batsman, Kieswetter.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Miller-c76318 cited that both the emerging players have earned contracts because of their commitment and passion.
"This award reflects the contributions Craig and Jade have made to our T20 and One-Day international teams this season and we congratulate both players on their achievement," he said.
The 23-year-old, Kieswetter, who represents Somerset at the domestic level, has played 20 One Day internationals, and 11 Twenty20s for his national side, scoring 590, and 266 runs respectively.
The Johannesburg-born batsman, who was also member of the English Twenty20 World Cup squad last year, has always been aggressive with his batting show, which eventually helped England hammer oppositions.
Kieswetter, who is also famous with the nick name of 'Hobnob', started his International career in 2010, and has also been right on the money behind the stumps.
Recently, he played Friends Life Twenty20’s final for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Leicestershire-c807; however, he failed to assist his County side to victory.
The attacking English opener, who also represented http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, as he was not getting an opportunity to represent the Proteas team.
On the other hand, the aggressive pacer, Dernbach, who has impressed everyone with his bowling speed, expressed his presence amazingly so far.
The 25-year-old played his first Twenty20 match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 at County Ground, Bristol on 25, June, 2011, whereas, he made his One Day International debut against the same side at Kennington Oval, London, on 28, June, 2011.
Dernbach who was born in Johannesburg as well, has represented England in 8 One Day Internationals, and 2 Twenty20s, grabbing 12, and 5 wickets respectively.
