Craig McDermott appointed as Australia bowling coach
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 have appointed former fast bowler, Craig McDermott, as their new bowling coach. He had been a scholarship coach at the Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence for the past couple of years and beat former South African paceman, Allan Donald, for
the job.
On his appointment, McDermott stated, “It's great to be back as part of the Australian team set-up again and I can't wait to get started working with the bowlers and the rest of the team. I'm excited at the opportunity to be part of the group that helps
get Australia back to number one in all forms of cricket.”
The Tasmanian pacer served his country in the mid 80’s and 90’s and was a terrific bowler in his time. He was accurate and had decent pace as well, which allowed him to trouble the opposition.
He will be expected to bring the same level of accuracy and consistency in the Australian team, which has struggled in the recent times.

CA also conducted some interviews with former fast bowlers, Jason Gillespie and Andy Bichel, but they were not considered due to their lack of experience in coaching.

improvement in the team and played a crucial role in guiding them to the semi-final stage.
Donald’s presence helped youngster Tim Southee to a great extent, helping him perform consistently in the World Cup. He was also hired by the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and did a decent job in the lucrative league.
