My opinion? Ebay is better than craigslist just because it allows whatever you're selling to be viewed by people across the U.S., even internationally. This gives you a better opportunity of having your item sell for a higher price, and faster rate. Craigslist is good for listing used furniture, services, etc... like if you want to deal locally.

The only downfall about ebay is that you have to pay to post an item and paypal will take a small percentage of the price you sell your item for. Craigslist is free and if you deal with local buyers, you will most likely get cash straight up.
