  1. This is most likely some type of fraud. You could request that the customer send you the money via western union in which case you will have the money in cash up front. If you accept the payment via pay pal and it is some type ot fraud you will be charged back the amount of the sale at a later date.

  2. it could be legit but with so many typos and him saying hes out in belgium? its probably a scam i would not accept this from him. so yeah, most people who scam are "out of state" and this guy says he is in Belgium seems pretty fancy to me. but he makes so many typos like cos? dosent seem to educated. its a scam.

  3. Its a scam. It would be cheaper to buy a new laptop in Belgium than pay 200 USD shipping for a second hand one and take all the risks associated with that.

  4. Yes it is!!!! report to craigslist

  5. DO NOT DO IT. When I was trying to sell my Car I listed it on CraigsList, and  I got a lot of people from "out of state" or "out of country" . They told me they would send me a money order, and you wouldn't be able to cash it, or get the money. By the time they have your belongings, and you are at realization that the guy was a phoney, he is LONG gone.

This is definately a scam, I know from Experience.

  6. No, not a scam.  PayPal is safe, secure, and insured.  Send him an invoice and if he pays then send him the laptop.  If he doesn't, you don't lose a dime.  Now, if he wanted you to send the laptop first it would be a scam.  Or if he wanted to pay you in money orders or Western Union those would be scams too.

I'd say go for it.  Worst that could happen is that you wasted 5 minutes sending a PayPal invoice.

  7. Nope. Paypal is one of the most secure sites to make transaction. Way to go!

  8. Scam. He's relying on your greed to do the deal.

You won't see the 200 or the 500. You will just be out a notebook and have a boatload of misery.

Don't even respond to the deal.

If you don't believe me re-post the same thing again and you will get the same email prob with a new country like Germany or something.

Do business with someone here in the states that can bring you certified funds that you know are good.

It's prob a good notebook. Don't fall for any scams like this.

  9. Sounds to me like a scam.

  10. an honest purchaser will accept YOUR terms- not try to BUY YOU with "extra" money- why wouldn't they want to buy it your way? extra $200?  jeesh! -  I can buy a used laptop for nearly that "extra"! the real bargain is this guy getting into a problem- and milking more info out you -

go for a clean deal only.

I say it stinks of scam.
