  1. When you actually try to enter the ad, there should be a menu of choices for location. Choose the most specific designation you can, because Craigslist is often for direct pickup, and gas is expensive nowadays.  So one would choose "West San Jose", and automatically be categorized also as South San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, and California.  In the ad itself, you could put your more specific location, such as "near Miller and Rainbow Drive" if you want.

  2. Well I post at http://www.stumblehere.com- it's a free classified ads website just like craiglist.  It's so simple to post- simply click on the bolded, dark blue lettering in the left hand corner of the page that says, "post new classified ad."  Then you simply click on the state and then the city that you want to post your item in.  This brings you to the page where you write your ad and click, 'submit.'  It's so simple and easy!

  3. where is the item...  what city?

  4. They want to know what city your item is in.

  5. where is the item coming from or from where it is being shipped. That way people can estimate how much they will be paying for shipping.

    Hope this helps! :)

    From the WikiHow Website:

""Specific Location" is the location that you are posting from. Many posters use this field for phone numbers and websites. Be sure to include http://www so that it is a live link."

  6. the specific location is the name of your town.

  7. That will be the location you want to advertise to. Depending on what you are selling, you may be L.A. but you want to sell to people in NY.
