Question:

Cramping at 16 weeks?

I'm 16 weeks and having a bit of cramping today. Not the horrible pain cramping, but more like a steady period like cramp. Also, earlier I stood up very quickly and had a 'pulling' type of pain in my lower abdomen.

Is this normal, or somehting I should be concerned about?

  1. Cramping is quite normal in pregnancy as ur body is goin thru so many changes however if ur cramping starts 2 get sore or is joined with any bleeding etc contact ur doctor or go 2 ur local hospital asap also if u r still concerned it wouldnt do any harm 2 ring ur doctor and discuss how ur feelin with him/her..better 2 b safe than sorry! All the best!

  2. i get that pain all the time when i stand up and im 16 weeks so it is normal.

  3. It's normal - it is called round ligament pain and it is caused from your uterus stretching to make room for baby!

  4. I am 16 weeks with twins and I have these pains every now and again.  My OB told me it is my round ligaments and uterus stretching.  Some points it is so bad that it brings me to tears.  I talk to my doctor about it at every visit which is every two weeks and every appointment, I get the same response.
