  1. Periods and cramps differ from person to person. I don' think its very common for cramps to arrive that early prior to the actual period. Sometimes 3-5 days before can signal your period is coming. Nature lets you anticipate the doom, how nice huh?

Discharge can increase and change in colour, thickness, odour etc. Again it really varies but from personal experience and friends' experiences, I can estimate about a week.

If you're worried about something unusual with your period, just visit a doctor. A female doctor can be easier to talk to, if you feel uncomfortable.

  2. I use to get horrible cramps a day before, and the first day of my period. Now, I get them a couple days before and they're bad the first day. Sometimes my tail bone hurts a lot and I'm really sore in that area.

I think discharge does increase before your next period because you're ovulating. Hmm I just read this online.. let's see if I can find it.
