  1. Don't worry about it, and it's probably not the cranberry.

    Pyridium, a medication frequently prescribed to alleviate symptoms of UTIs (small purple pill) causes urine discoloration.  They make it look like you're peeing Tang.  It's freaky, but harmless and temporary.

  2. an FDA approved home testing kit is available to help determine  the infection. {Bayer-multstix} available in most drug stores, ask the pharmacist, if you cant find them.

    cranberry is one of the best herbal remedies. Quality cranberry juices produce  -hippuric acid- in the urine which acidifies the urine and inhibits bacterial growth. purchase a UN sweated juice. the pills are fine.Always take with large glass of water. beware of commercial pills and juices, they contain little cranberry[less than 30 %] and have a high-frutose corn syrup or other sweetners.

    The color of your pee sugests you are dehigrated. you need more water in your diet at this time. you urine should be almost clear, if you drink enough with the cranberry.

    Also, if you have a burning sensation try using {Buchu} .

    If you get alot of infections, i suggest try one of these hearbal remdies;

    Include --celery, parsley,and watermelon in your diet. these foods act as a natural diuretics and cleansers.

    --Marshmellow root increases the acidity of urine, inhibiting bacterial growth.--drink 1 quart of marsh. root tea daily. it helps to strengthen and cleanse the bladder.

    --do not use "feminine hygiene sprays",packaged douches,bubble baths,tampons,or toilet paper containing fragrance.the chemicals in these products are potentialy irritating

    good luck!!!!
