  1. I'm sure there are a ton of books and maybe some DVDs on the subject.  Why not do a search on Amazon.com?

I just did that and there were 60,000+ books and 36 DVDs.

  2. Craps is a fun game but a house game. If you are going to play it then you should be playing a Casino Royal. The dump between the Venetian and Harrah's since you get 100X odds.

There are plenty of books on craps but they mostly make money for the people who write them. There is no system to learn and all the information is fairly basic. If you don't understand basic odds and how to calculate the house advantage on various bets and combination of bets then a book might be useful but I see them as a waste of money. This is high school math so if someone can't figure it out then gambling is probably not the best option.

Books and videos on rhythmic rolling might be of some use. The idea is that based on how you toss the dice you can control the number of sevens that are rolled. I did some research into it then decided even if it did work it would be too much work to learn relative to poker and sports wagering. If you are really interested in craps though it might be worth researching. I can't vouch for it as I never progressed past the basics.

  3. I like to gamble, I love to gamble!

  4. It's all about playing the odds.

Your line bet is the best, it goes down from there.

  5. When playing craps stay away from the sucker bets.. Best way to win is to stick to the pass line bets and come bets...let me show you... $5 on pass line dice rolls to 9 place a odds bet below the passline bet x 4 = $20.. put another $5 on the come bet dice rolls 4 place odds bet on the 4 .. give it to the dealer ask them for odds on the 4 ...3x$5=$15..make one more come bet $5 dice roll 8 give the dealer $25 and ask for odds on the 8,... now we need to hit these three #s lets bring the money home as long as the shooter does not roll 7 we are ok... so when you #s are thrown the dealer will pay you $5 for the original pass line or come bet and you will make extra money on your odds bet depending what # was rolled..4&10 pay best at 2 to 1  5&9 pay 3 to 2  & the 6 & 8 pay 6 to 5  so lets say after making those three bets after a couple rolls the 8 is rolled by the shooter the dealer will pay you $5 for your original bet 6 to 5 odds on your odds bet witch was $25 =$30 of course you would get your original money returned as well   now we need to have the shooter roll our 9 & 4 to bring it all home before a 7 is rolled... if he does I would wait until he rolls  7 before I would start all over again..

  6. There are no skills in craps.  Virtually all the bets are the same percentage.  Look for the tables that allow you to bet more on the odds.  You need at least 10X odds.  Avoid making big mistakes like taking down a don't bet after it has moved to a number.  It is absolutely the worst move you can make.  It is worse than betting the hop bets.  After your don't bet has moved, you have a very strong advantage over the house.  If you don't like the number it is sitting on and don't want the bet, then let it move and bet against it.  Just don't take it down.

As for the 5 and 9, if you really want to improve your odds slightly, you can buy it for 34 dollars as opposed to just betting it for 35 or worse 36.  However, you don't want to buy them both at the same time or you'll get charged an extra dollar because it would then be 68 action.  After the 34 dollars has been bought just leave it there and start a new place bet if you wish to press.  You'll make an extra buck every hit.

My overall advice for gambling is to suck it up and put your money on the table.  Don't buy in for a thousand dollars and sit on $10 bets all night.  You'll never win enough to be happy to leave with.  If you want to win substantially then your minimum bet should have at least 10% of your bankroll on the table.  Collect until you're at least even with your table bets and start pressing to the moon.  Parlay is your friend.
