Craps ! ! ! ! !?

Question

Hi, i'm new to the world of gaming and am looking to explore possibilities with new and different casino games, instead of sticking only to the simplest game 'roulette'.

i am by no means a gambler, nor do i intend to be, i just like playing for fun. i play alot of free online games, and gamble at a real casino about once a month.

Anyway, i have a question about craps.

i hear Craps is a far more "fair'' game than roulete, and im considering giving it a go, but after seeing the layout, and playing online, i still just cant get the hang of it!

can somoene explain to me in the simplest form how to play this game? and how to use the strategy of placing a small pass line bet, then bet max on the dont win line?

i think what you've heard is that craps can offer you the best odds in the casino, but you've got it slightly wrong.

you don't want to play the pass line against the don't pass line, that's just hedging your bets and guarantees you one win and one loss.

the best bet is a small bet on the pass line and the max odds bet, which is placed behind your bet on the pass line, after there is a point. but it's not a don't win line, it's still a pass line bet, you're still betting to make the point.

that pass line odds bet is the best bet in the casino.

i am not a fan of that strategy of betting small on the pass line and large on the dont pass line. You are just offsetting your bets.

A strategy i always use , is back up your bet with large back up bets on 6 & 8 and just back up your bet with twice the pass bet on the other the others. The only way to make money in craps is to PULL YOUR PROFITS. Dont have 20 bets going on at once!

If you decide to go play games at a casino, all the games are fixed. The cards are marked,, the roulette table has a controlled button underneath the table,, the machines are fixed to win set at a ridiculous setting and the dice are fixed as well.Casinos are a business and a business is out to make money, not give the profits away.

If you like CRAPS, and want a fair game, they have little places that shoot craps, but I do not think they are very safe due to the kinds of people who hover around them,,you win, you get jumped or killed,, you know what I mean.

On line gambling is a joke, if you want to really gamble, go play the horses, most of time you get a 10-1 odds.

Although PETA and other activist are against racing horses,, I think they are treated well,, they are just run down from racing for years,, and yes they have a chance to break their legs then have to be put down, like this last incident where the horse broke both front legs and they had to put it down on the track,,, but at least I think it is a fair game if played,, every one entering wants to win the trophy.

My last thoughts: Do not look for gambling to be a quick fix on money issues. Working hard and banking what you can is a sure fix to gain money. Open a savings account and just drop in 10 bucks here and there, It makes a difference when you get in a tight spot.
