Crayford: The 2012 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket Trial Stakes – Preview (Part 1)
The 2012 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket Trial Stakes, an Open Race event of 714m Flat category, will be held at Crayford greyhound racing track on Saturday, January 28. With the prize money of £150, the contest will start at 20:02.
The six participant hounds of the race include Wellview Jazz, Lordsbury Cookie, Robbos Rose, Killishin Apple, Perfect Charmer and Crossfield Sofia.
In a view to make some solid predictions about the results of the event, we go through career records and key features of each of the runners. This analysis will help the interested bookmakers to take accurate decisions.
Wellview Jazz
It has been almost since months since R Milan-trained hound won a race. The long and dismal lean patch of the black dog has badly shattered his morale and stamina. Whelped in May 2008, he started his career on April 7, 2010. Following his maiden victory
a month later, he could not win a single race for almost a year.
The dog’s inefficiency is evident of the fact that he has won just two events so far in his long career, and ran as a favourite just once.
The son of Hondo Black and Angies Clodeen is not likely to unleash any competitive performance in the weekend’s race. He may grab one of the two tail positions. The bookies and the sport experts are also expecting the same from him.
Lordsbury Cookie
Trained by G L Davidson, Lordsbury Cookie finished first in her last race on January 6 after a tough clash against, Crossfield Nina. This success came after a gap of five failures. Making her debut on April 27, 2011, the black b***h has won just five
races so far. In the midst of her career, she endured a severe lean patch.
Daughter of Droopys Vieri and Shelbourne Miss, the hound has earned the favourite tag three times so far. She is somewhat inconsistent, but not inefficient at all, possessing a potential to cause upsets any time.
As far as the tomorrow’s event is concerned, Lordsbury Cookie is likely to finish third or fourth. Breaking from trap 2, she will not be a favourite.
Robbos Rose
The white and black b***h last won a race in August, 2011. In recent races, she has lost with huge margins. The trainee of T Taylor commenced her career on May 18, 2010. In the first quarter of her career, she posed to be somewhat sharp and competent,
winning four races in a row.
However, the daughter of Flying Penske and Vieris Surprise failed to sustain her momentum, and turned to be laggard in the process, losing ten races in a row. She again picked up form and won some races.
As a whole, Robbos Rose’s victory ratio has been fair. She possesses skills to knock down big adversaries. In the upcoming race, she may get the favourite tag and finish second. She was whelped in October, 2008.
