spot.
Crossing over from the outside, the hound succeeded in taking the lead over his contenders. With 4 – 6 F odds remained consistent in his prompt pace and in 23.54 seconds M Dartnall’s dog crossed over in first place.
Winning it by 2 ¾ lengths, trainer S Gammon’s Wall Saw kicked for home. In the chase with 4 – 1 odds, the white and black dog cracked out with a slow start.
The trap 2 racer while rallying through the opening stretch took a slight bump, but very intelligently he found his way through the hassle and made a comeback with an astonishing pace.
The lead acquired by the dog around the second bend assisted him in producing a modest time of 23.84 seconds, for S Gammon.
With the similar odds of 9 – 4 J P Thompson’s hounds were placed in for the lure chase. Both dogs broke lethargically through their traps.
Wearing black and white jacket, the trap 4 racer Bringinhersunny experienced a minor obstruction during the beginning of his quest, but he kept on chasing the lure.
The second hindrance faced by him around the first stretch made his tempo quite sluggish. Not taking the situation in over his head, the hound battled his way out from the inside and was spotted at the lead.
Crossing over in 24.03 seconds Bringinhersunny victoriously wrapped up his pursuit.
The four purse winners have confirmed their trap for the semi – final chase, but the speedy qualifier Liskees Joy grabbed the spot light.
