I just found out last week that my sister (older) two daughters ages 8 and 11 don't wipe themselves...she's till doing this for them! The girls have always been a little spoiled, but isn't this a little far??!

I went to visit yesterday, and the 11 year old was in the BR and she called her mother: "can somebody help me?" and sure enough my sister went in there and "helped" her! I asked her why is she still wiping their asses and she just shrugged it off, is there something wrong with me or is this some kind of abuse or something????

  1. I don't think it is considered abuse, but it isn't right either.  By now both of the children should be wiping themselves.  She needs to teach them to do it themselves and to be a little more indepent.

  2. that's strange! if they have any special needs then i understand ,but if their 11 and 8 and still need their mom to wipe their a** then that;s wrong. They should learn to wipe it them selfs.

  3. Um... yeah, that's a little excessive.

  4. It's not abuse. She is just being weird. They are definitely old enough to do it themselves.

  5. Its not abuse but thats strange! Tell her to let them grow up.

  6. that is wrong its called pottytrianed

  7. I remember my mom or dad wiping when I was in kindergarten, then when I went to school, I had no one to help me, so I eventually learned to do it by myself.

That's sick. I'm 13 now and my sister is 11, and we learned to do it by ourselves when we were 4 and 5.

Tell you sister not to do that to an 11 year old or 8 year old! The 11 year old should be going into MIDDLE SCHOOL!

    That's just insane.

  8. No, it's not abuse, but it  is downright strange!

It's your sisters business, so I wouldn't say anything- try talking to your Mom. if the girls were handicapped that's one thing, but really, this is really bizarre. See what your Mom says, if she's even aware. It might be a Mother/daughter conversation is needed.

Sister has problems, and needs help!

  9. how disturbing! eww!! i hope she let's them grow up soon...maybe take them off the nipple, too!

  10. I wouldnt say it is abuse but it is definately taking it a bit too far. I have a 9 yr old son and I havent been wiping his butt for years now, lol. The only time I will have any part of that area is when he says his butt is itching or something and i may check it out for him or offer up some helpful suggestions for him but doing it for them day in and day out is sick. So what the heck do they do when they are at school? keep it full of p**p til they get home or ask the teacher to wipe it for them? yeah that is nuts.

  11. no just plain old strange!!!

i am 11 and that is weird!

  12. I agree with you. Unless they have special needs there is no reason they can't wipe themselves.

I agree with a previous poster, have your mother speak with her. She is more likely to take it seriously coming from the woman who raised her.
