Crazy mixed up family/husband tcc question?

Question

Well, ok, I guess it's not all THAT crazy, but basically, I am on a mini- 5-day vacation with my mom, dad, lil' bro and sis to DC. My hubby couldn't get off work. We have been tcc for about 6 months right now, and ever since I've gotten off of BC, my period has been like clockwork. It's now officially a week late.

I'm kind of scared to buy and take a test though, because IF I'm pregnant shouldn't the first person to know be my husband? I don't want to tell him over the phone?

Would it be horrible if my mom knew first? Or should I just wait until Saturday when I get home to take a test?

Also, is it normal to miss periods if you're not pregnant? I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up TOO much. :-)

its normal for women to miss their periods while travel or under stress. just wait until you get home to take the test. besides wanting your husband to be the first to know, im sure thats not how you want your family to find out. good luck and be patient

I think you should wait until you get home with your husband and take the test then because as much as you're excited at the same time you Begin to feel scared and if your aren't pregnant he will be there to comfort you and you will be able to comfort him. Also I would like to say that it is possible to miss your period if you aren't pregnant. But missing a period is not a normal bodily function so either way you look at it something is happening it's just the matter of what it may actually be. I Personally missed my period for 3 months, and that's when i found out I had pcos. Now I can't get it to go away. Good luck to your family ... I hope your hear those little feet soon

I know its hard to wait but I think that if you both have been wanting this then you should wait and test with him. It is only a few more days. Good luck. I hope its positive.

  I would definitely wait until you get home so your hubby can be there with you and you can find out together.

yes you can miss a period by a day or two sometimes

if you know that you can take the test while no one is around & then toss it in the trash then go for it , but don't tell anyone

(tell your hubby as soon as you get home)

if you think that you would not be able to keep it secret then wait & take it when you get home
