Crazy virus filling up hard drive please help.

My room mate has a virus on his computer that put over a million small fake mp3s that are each 32kbs. Avg does not work please help.

try installing mcafee and and run the mcafee scan in safe mode.

Restart  Windows Then before Windows it is open press (F8)  then press Safe mode then Run Avg  Scanner after Finish Scanner Restart Windows again.

I think I might be able to help you. What I would do is restart in windows in safe mode then run avg. I'm not all too sure if you can access the internet in safe mode but if you can I recommend that you download a program called Unlocker. If you can figure out where the root of the virus is (the folder it is coming from) you can have Unlocker delete the program (if it says the program cannot be deleted then you can have it deleted when you restart your computer.)
